Currently, projects in the Stone lab focus on population history and in understanding how humans and other primates have adapted to their environments, including their disease environments. Current projects include: (a) understanding the evolutionary history of mycobacteria (specifically those causing TB and leprosy) affecting human and non-human primates, (b) primate variation, and (c) human population history (including in Kenya and Peru).
